This is a course I designed based on my research interests. This course dives into the ever-changing world of digital media industries and the creator economy. We’ll explore the intricate relationships between platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, digital laborers, influencers, creators, and their audiences. Throughout the course, we’ll tackle key themes in media and platform studies, such as content production, labor dynamics, and gender issues, while also delving into contemporary social issues, media campaigns, and the latest trends in popular culture.
COM 220 Qualitative Research Methods, Winter 2023
My qualitative research methods class is all about diving deep into the tools and insights needed to conduct strong qualitative studies. This course guides students through the process of carrying out their own independent research projects, from designing and implementing the studies to hands-on practice with interviews, focus groups, or ethnography. By the end of the course, students will have the confidence and skills to effectively collect and analyze qualitative data.
COM 230 Techniques of Speaking, Spring 2023, Fall 2024
MyTechniques of Speaking class is designed to help students boost their verbal communication skills and master the art of public speaking. We focused on everything from speech preparation and vocal delivery to body language and audience engagement, with plenty of practical exercises to build confidence and deliver powerful presentations.

My business communication course is a practical, skill-based class designed to help students develop their proficiency in professional settings. We worked on everything from crafting business documents and delivering presentations to mastering interpersonal communication and using digital tools in today’s global business environment. By the end, students walked away with the confidence and skills to communicate professionally in the workplace.
